I finally broke down and started work on my rusty old 14. I THINK I have everything mechanical fixed on it, and all of the oil leaks fixed (fingers crossed), so I guess it's time. I have sort of been shamed into it also, after John Hobby painted up his 1066 so nice. Here she is when I started, not as nice as Paul's front wheel assist Magnum, but still a good useable tractor for my operation.
Now here it is half finished. Boy, it sure looks red. It seems a little dark too.
Now it's starting to look like a tractor again. A little color sure makes a difference. I'm going to leave the front tank off. It was handy, but it looks so much better without it. Now I have to decide about the white. Bright white or the original cream white. I know I could paint it hot pink if I wanted, and this is not really a restoration. The bright white would show it off more, but I'll probably put it back to original.
I know once you have seen one old 14 they pretty much all look alike, but I'm pretty pleased. It's almost like getting a new tractor! Paul
