Thank you for the suggestions! I put a little penetrating oil in it yesterday. I've heard of using Marvel Mystery Oil but have never tried it. The cylinder is clear of gas or water. After letting it sit overnight I put the tranny in 3rd gear and tried rocking it a little. Do you think that heating the block with an external source of heat would help any? The oil in the pan looks great. The tractor appears to have been serviced regularly. Gauges look good, appears to have been replaced or are in really good shape, new starter, plugs and points look good. Kinda makes me think it can't be too bad. I'll let ya know what comes of it. Thanks for the FA link too.
