There was a "horse" version of the McCormick 100 manure spreader. It is the 100H spreader. I Have a manual for the 100 H spreader. It has a seat in the location of the one in the ad. However, there is also a dolly wheel on the front and a horse hitch setup which is missing from the one in the ad. Also, the levers for the 100 H in shown in my manual are on the sides, not in the front as on the tractor version. Being on the sides, the levers would not be in the way of the person riding the seat. So...the seat could be original, or it could have been added for some reason.
