Super A PTO Help.....

I have spent much time already trying to remove the two old seals from the pto. I have taken the whole unit off the tractor now. I believe I have to use a puller to remove the large gear from the pto shaft. After that can I just press that shaft from the inside out to remove the remainder of that seal? Any help appreciated. I couldnt find a blowup of that in my manual. Thanks. scotty
