the real purpose of Red Power Roundup was nicely put by Oran Sorenson when South Dakota hosted the show in 1997, "We dedicate this show to commemorate the pioneer spirit of those in agricuture whose combined efforts guided the plow that broke the plains to make the midwest a 'Breadbasket of the World' While IH equipment brings us together, let us always remember that it's really the people that we'll long remember"
