I f I remember ours (long gone) it had a slightly curved rear tube running up and around the rear with a rectangular piece of metal on it that was also slightly curved. If your new rest is curved, just use short ~1/2" long #10 stainless steel sheetmetal screws in the holes in the metal plate. If the new one is not curved, I'd make a curved shim from old tire sidewall rubber belt sanded to make up the gap. Only use screws long enough to get into the plywood of the new back. or kidney damage may occur when the point sticks through the cushion!!!! Lots-O-luck Jim Nicholson
