farmerjohn, The 1 and 2 spreaders were built first under the International name(1919 to 1924) and under the McCormick-Deering name from 1924 to 1929. They were replaced by the No.4 in 1930. Easy way to tell the 1 and 2 apart is the width of the box. Width of box for number 1 was 37 inch in front and 38.5 inch in back. Width of No. 2 was 43.5 front and 45 inch in back.
