Thanks, I cranked her long enough to get some oil pressure. Cables got a little warm and discharged the old 76 Dodge Power Wagon dual batterys, so I'm going to assume the starter has got an internal stator winding short. I'll put the wife in the Dodge with a loooong chain and see what happens. Thanks again, Joe
