There are A's, Super A's and Super A1's. The A has a C-113 Engine. They were built from 1939 to 1947 and there were 117552 built but that number includes all A's and the B's and Super A's The Super A has a C-113 Engine and Hydraulics. The Super A was built from 1947 thru 1954 The Super A1 has a C-123 Engine and Hydraulics As you can see the basic difference between the A and the Super A is the addition of Hydraulics to the Super A. The Super A1 had the hydraulics the the Super A had and a larger engine. The Super A1's were only built in 1954 and there were only 1672 of them built. Hope this helps BIG JOHN
