Dad bought a 'C' back in '77. We could never get the starter to roll over. Had the starter off and checked and even changed the battery. Still nothing. In the summer it would sit outside on a bank to coast start it otherwise 9 out of 10 tries it had to be jumped started. Ran great once it started. Finally, I changed the cables and hooked the ground cable to the hydraulic housing. Hit the starter and it spun over like I put 12 volts to it. It sat for a couple of years with a bad rim on it and since I had my 'H' and '300' we really didn't need it. Found a rim for it went down put a good battery in it and it popped right off.
