Hi, the 574 and 674 Diesel both had the D239 German Diesel but the 674 had larger rear tires 18.4-30 vs 16.9-28 for 574. The 674 could also have a different speed transmission than the 574. We had a 674 without T/A for a short period of time but it had a slow speed transmission and 2nd gear was to slow and 3rd was to fast for our JD corn harvester. Traded it for 684 with T/A. Neighbor had 574 and turned up injection pump so it was putting out 66 HP on dyno same as our 684. Therefore 674 maybe a little heavier than 574 due to larger tire size. My 2 cents JB2
