Hi Buzz, If you were an AMC parts man, then you know full-well that they have never, ever used anything of their own design, just their own part #'s; GM & Chrysler trannys, Delco electronics, many Ford starters and IH engines. This method goes clear back to the old Rambler days. A Torque Flite is a Torque Fiite is a Torque Flite no matter the who's name is on the hood. Pull a turn signal switch out of any AMC product....pure and simple GM stuff. No, it is AMC who is doing the cloning. Always has been. Just because they changed the valve cover(s) doesn't mean they they have a totally new engine. Me thinks they brain washed ya, Allan
