Arcing at the coil usually is caused by bad electrical connectivity somewhere between the high tension coil terminal (the wire that goes from the coil to the distributor) and the spark plugs. Check (or replace) the distributor cap and rotor for corrosion. Check the cap on the inside of the spark plug wire terminals on the outside of the cap and on the inside of the cap for corrosion on the terminals. Check the rotor for corrosion. Next would be to install new spark plug and coil to distributor wires. Lastly, put in new spark plugs. Good Luck!
