Im working on a 1940 farmall A that I am assuming has a rivited pan seat. This one doesnt have a rolled edge like the other ones i have seen and instead has small holes all the way around the edge. Is there some kind of a flange that is used to hold the canvas to the seat? I seen a add in Red Power Magazine that states they can recover this for about $95.00 or I can buy a replacement seat for around $110.00. Does anyone have a picture of a rivited seat they can email me (or post here) so I know how this seat goes together? If it has a flange, can one be made? What would you do? repair or replace?? The price difference between the two isnt high enough to matter so I can go one way or the other. Thanks.
