Hi IH, I think they are one great tractor! Not to overstate the obvious, but are you pulling the "female" connectors towards the rear of the tractor as far as they will go, plugging in the hose, pushing the whole shootin' match back forward as far as it will go, and then snapping the levers? Don't hollar at me, I'm just tryin' to help, :>) Allan
