mwkellner: Thanks for that, I have studied that belt set up and decided there was no other way. I bet I spent 4 hours looking at it over the past five days. One would think a 1/4 turn or 90 degrees should be good on each side of drive. With an endless belt there is no way you can remove the extra 1/2 or 180 degree turn short of having a matching 1/2 or 180 degree turn in opposite direction somewhere else on belt. I shall not queston the wisdom of Woods, they have too many years of success. The mower is working well. Just one minor problem, and that is me, too many years farming with Live PTO.
