Have done that myself on several occasions. A couple things I've found work pretty good:

Mix up a paste of powdered dishwasher detergent (Cascade, etc) and hot water - or use the liquid dishwasher stuff right from the jug. Spread it the area on and leave overnight. In the morning hose or pressure wash it off. If any stain remains treat the entire concrete surface with concrete etcher (from Home Depot or wherever) per instructions and rinse again.

For instant relief (but not for the faint of heart): Wet the affected area with gasoline and scrub it in with a stiff brush. Next spread fresh kitty litter over the wetted area to absorb the gas. Finally stand back and throw a match on the kitty litter. When the fire goes out, let it cool down then sweep up the kitty litter. The concrete underneath will be clean as a whistle. WARNING!! USE THIS METHOD AT YOUR OWN RISK - NOT NEAR THE HOUSE! (And NOT when the wife is around...)
