John, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your son as he and so many other brave men including my youngest grandson from Maine are deployed to Iraq. I have from the beginning supported this action even though I was not aware until a month ago that my grandsons reserve unit had been called to active duty. I still support our involvement there and can only hope that the efforts of our committment and our brave soldiers who put themselves in harms way, will be successful in creating stability in that area, while keeping terrorists and terrorism on the defensive. Our citizens who deny any legitimate reason for going to war with those who openly declared war against us should hold their heads in shame and go to their nearest war memorial and read the names of their fathers, brothers, uncles, cousins, neighbors and all who fought and in many cases died in former wars to guarantee their right to display their ungratefulness for the opportunity for the good life we have here as opposed to the way most people in the world live. I will continue to pray for the safety and safe return your son and my grandson as well as for every other soldier and pray for those who are less appreciative. GOD SPEED....
