I had a 856 in the 70's and needed more power to pull tools that we commonly pulled with the 1066. We put a turbo on 856 and it was not like a 1066 not even close. We dryland farmed and the Colorado heat killed the engine. I finally after 2 long summers traded it for a 1086 and never looked back. The turbo was a waste as I was needing quite a bit more power and if I remember the M&W literature correctly it was for 10% more HP and better overall economy. A good used 10 or 1466 or 86 is a good buy but myself I would purchase a 2290 Case It has easier shifting and more CID
