Hydraulic oil temperature gauge

When I found my 1952 Farmall Super A, it had a gauge on the forward hydraulic arm spreader. The 37" "cable" ran to the center of the hydraulic oil screen port. Neither my Operators Manual or Parts Manual mention or show this gauge. I saw one on an "M" in Yuma last year, but can't find it in any Super A or M parts houses. Can you help me?
