Jesse: I have not tried this with a cub, however it should work as tractor design is the same. I did this with a Super A using a hitch from a 130. The only problem I ran into was for the spring assist that helps hydraulics with lifting the hitch. The Super A was drilled in torque tube for mounting one end of spring. The rockshaft however did not have a hole for the other end of spring. I had to change the rockshaft also. I did run it for awhile without the spring, and I'm not sure it helps that much anyway. Your best bet is to do a very close comparison of your tractor and one built after 1955. I saw this yesterday but held back thinking someone who had actually done a cub would respond, and maybe they will yet. My best guess is if you run into problems, it will not be mounting of main structure but rather a minor item as I did with Super A.

And, if you are like me, your tractor is under cover, but it sits outside. So with every temperature change, the humidity in the air collects in the fuel tank, in the form of water.
