farmall (h) seat is mine aftermarket ?

I have recently bought a 1942 farmall (h) and the mounting for the seat is different than any other (h) that I have seen, rather than the pipe brackets to support the seat mine is mounted on a square box, that can be unlatched and then flipped back, is this aftermarket ?
