If you replaced the governor, then your distributor timing is off. Ignition is timed from the crank shaft to an idler to the governor gear to distributor. The camshaft is on the other side of the engine and I doubt you did anything to affect its timing. Go to atis.net, and find the posts by "Rudi". He has a link to a scanned operators manual. All you need to know is in there. Chris B.
