Jeff: I was coming out of a side road back a couple years ago, when I couldn't believe what I saw. A guy with a Dodge mini-van and tow dolly used for towing cars. He had the front end of an old Massey Harris 33 standard up on tow dolly and my first guess he was making 50 mph. Turns out he was going the same direction as I. I followed him , and not closely either, and at times he was making 70 mph. We came to exit of 4 lane highway and I thought I'll be clear of him as I was taking the 4 lane. You guessed it he headed down the 4 lane making 70 mph all the way to city.

I could have passed him on numerous ocasions, however I was kind of waiting to see how far the transmission gears and shafts would go when it exploded. I don't know whether that tow dolly had brakes or not. Most I have seen don't have brakes. I thought clearly an accident looking for a place to happen. I did a bit of asking as to who the idiot was as I did recognize the tractor. The guy with the mini van who bought the tractor was a clergyman. I guess he had the lord traveling with him.

If you drive as you say not much faster than top speed of tractor, shouldn't be any problems. Put something heavier than a Dodge mini van up front. It still amazes me how that guy drove 60 miles non stop, 30 of it on 4 lane loaded with traffic and lived to talk about it.
