674 clutch....

Got roped into replacing clutch on Dad's friend's 674 gas.Looking in a valu-blt catalog,they show 4 pad and 6 pad discs-p.plates are the same.Haven't had customer bring in tractor cause I don't have parts so I can't check out what it has now.Which is better?Also,are rebuilt clutches OK or should I try to find a new one?
