Sprayers and sweet corn

Can anybody give me their idees about what to spray to stop corn ear worm in sweet corn. Also, how to spray it. Next, If I was to rig my sprayer to use a wick system. would I need to use my pump, or is it all gravety flow? How far apart should I place the rope wicks, and how close to the ground. Thanks
