Was the 166 and 188 the same motor, block and head, just bored and stroked different? I also remember that our gas was a 135 ci. I had 188 on my mind from my 504 diesel I once had. I had my old 188 cranking 60hp with a turbo, but no bottom end torque. Had to have the RPM's up on it.
