Went out today to plow snow with the super C. About 20 degrees. It started right off, I didn't let it warm up but just a few seconds when I did something dumb. I went to raise the blade and the cold thick oil just blowed out around the seals on the pump where the metal pipes bolt on. Removed the bolts to find one striped that is why the O ring didn't hold. Drove to town through snow and ice to get new bolts. Refilled and started back up. Leaking now where the pipes bolt to the touch control res. Took back apart, put o ring back in place. Refilled no leaks. Started to plow and heard a weird wooshing sound. Antifreeze flying out the front of tractor. Pouring out of the water pump. Salvage yard want's $89 for a rebuilt one. Not going to happen before Christmas I'm sure. Wet,cold, discouraged. Oh well, I have my health, a great family and a good looking tractor even if it wont run. Any advise on water pumps? Thanks for letting me ramble on.
