I managed to drive by the myserious H today and the owner was acually home! It is indeed an H with a modified wide front and rear wheels to get it to sling WAY down low. The guy told me that it used to be his brother's (who has since passed) and he used to run an orchard (the exhaust was also re-routed to under the tractor). I guess he had the H and couldn't (or didn't want to) get ahold of a real orchard tractor - so he made one. He has all the stock parts for it, but probably won't ever get around to putting it back (memories) - for now he uses it for light duty stuff around the place. and for "play" (as he put it). At any rate - it looks neat!
