I posted a message a while back asking when the switch from gray to red took place on the old Farmall F-20's. I received some great information and appreciate the people who took the time to get back with me. The latest update, I finally found some gray paint under the red on my hood of my 1936 F-20. You guys were right like I figured and I'm excited to paint it gray since that is the color I feel in love with when I saw my first F-20. The gray on the underside of the good seems to be a lighter shade of gray then what I was expecting to see. I'm pryaing that I can find someone that can match todays paint with that color. I assume the color is called battle ship gray that is what I've heard in the past. It is amazing how popular red must have been back then to have my tractor gray when built, then painted red, and then painted gray again when I found it over 10 years ago. Thanks again you guys have been a wonderful source of information.
