I was replaceing the brakes on my 39 H,and as you could suspect the grease seals on both sides were leaking badly.I ordered some aftermarket seals and while waiting for them started to remove the old ones.Every seal I ever dealt with on cars or big trucks go directly into the steel casting. So as I was destroying these seals to remove them I notice not was I only destroying the seal but also a piece around them which is call the seal ring. Will this ring come out of the casting?is this a part which you can get from IH ?Or does the new seal go in without the seal ring?Hope I did not make a whole lot of extra work by not doing this the correct way. Thanks Obie in NH
