Ok, I rewired the M via Bob M's 6 volt diagram for tractors with a distributor igniton. The only thing that I didnt follow to specs were the 10 gauge wire for the lighs, I used 14, because I was running out of 10. Anyways. I rewired it. It is wired correctly. Put new wires from generator to voltage regulator also. Now, the ammeter gauge only reads right above 0. There is no change when go from low charge to high charge. There is a discharge when I put on the lights, the wierd thing is the needle seems like it vibrates terribly when I put the lights on. Do I need to re-polarize the V.R.? If so, how do I do it? There is the BAT terminal, F terminal, and te GEN terminal. Which ones do I touch? This is also a fairly new battery. I have needed to jump it with the truck- 12 volt. I know this is bad.Could I jsut have a bad battery, and a good VR? Or both, or is it the VR??? I am confused here guys. I hope it isn't my generator. Belt slippage? AGGHHH! Question after question after question! Sorry I know this rambles, but try to follow it please! Thanks guys.

At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches. As most restorers, I have a number of war stories I can relate on a range of topics that may help other like minded and interested people. Perhaps my first p
