ALWAYS USE IH #1 straight weight oil in IH engines. NEVER USE MULTI-WEIGHT OIL!!!!!! IH engines are SPECIFICALLY ENGINEERED FOR STRAIGHT WEIGHT OIL ONLY!!!! Just because the local X- Mart or Co-op has multi weight on sale means nothing!!!!!! Multi weight oils breakdown fast in engines designed for straight weight. IH engineering has ALWAYS recommended the use of straight weight oil only. READ YOUR OWNERS MANUAL, IH never lists multi weights as being acceptable oils.....DUH!!!!!!!

I think the people who push multi wieghts are the same people who think Baldwin filters are the best thing out there.....yeah right!!!!!
