CNKS, I have gotten to see a steam tractor lots of times. A neighbor who died about 6 years ago had an old Case engine, not sure of model or size. It sat in his barn year round and every year at tobacco housing time he would fire that thing up and keep her going until all the neighbors were finished housing tobacco. At dinner time and again at 5:00 he would let that whistle go and it could be heard for several miles. He sold it to a collector in Bourbon county(Paris) Ky about 2 years before he died. That guy in Bourbon county has 6 or 7 of them. Sorry for the rambling, just reminded me of when I was a kid and hearing that whistle blow.
