I guess you have probably not read the procedure for this. Unless you have an unusual problem, it is not generally necessary to remove the steering gear to renew it! Common causes of slop in these systems are the universal joint and the worm bushing. These should probably be replaced unless they are KNOWN to be good. If you have not yet bought manuals for your tractor, perhaps this experience will persuade you: think of the time you may have been able to save!!!!
