I have a 1949 Farmall H that it seems that the ingnition, is not presice. There are some days that my tractor is running great, with a few pops and sputters now and then. Then there are some days to where it can't keep a good idle. A person told me my distributor that I have is wore enough to where it won't run 100%. And he said that you can't get a new rotor shaft for it. So I thought maybe a magneto would help it to run better. I have a magneto ingnition on my 1950 AC WD and he runs clean, and smooth. I am looking for any opinions if this would be a good idea or not. Also, what would a fair to good magneto cost? Also can a guy find any mags that are in good mechanical shape? Any help would be useful. Thanks.
