I now have my H running with a 12 volt system. It starts up great. I used the original generator and gages. I think that I need to go in and change the leads on the ammeter. It shows discharging until I turn the lights on, then shows charging? I put a new voltage regulator on, but after some conversation with a friend ( He restores old cars) I did not step down the voltage for the instruments. I did have to change the leads on the starter button. I show about 13 volts coming out of the generator, I hope for more, maybe I need a rebuild job. You think 13 volts are enough to charge ? my thinking is thats marginal. But overall I am very happy. I did change the light bulbs. I tried out the belly pump for the first time. I put a gage on it and got 1000 psi. I never touched this pump during restoration, just took it off and put it back in. My next project is a Saginaw 3 pt. hitch. Cool!!! Irv
