Howdy Mr. J: I don't know where my head was at last night, but it sure wasn't on my shoulders! Of course you have push rod, valve tappet guides. (part 405D, I think) After you get the cam out and the lifters removed from the bottom, the valve tappet guides can be removed by tapping them firmly with a drift from the pan end and they will come out through the top. If you have a broken one, on the head end, it probably isn't to much of a problem and I would think that it could be repaired with JB weld. A better solution may be to e-mail me off list with your address, and I will send you (give, as in gift) a replacement out of an old Regular that I scraped the motor from. Brad A (ore)
