This is how I split my C last summer. I used a friends engine hoist. Built a little wooden box to fit around the oil pan so I would crush it and wrapped a chain around the oil pan and the front bolster. This allowed me to roll it away and give me easy access to all I needed to git to. Was not nearly as big of job as I thought it would be.Take great care lineing everything back up to go together. I used some long bolts through the bell houseing holes to help line things up. Worked OK. If I can help at all let me know. These old C's are great old tractors.
