I got this noise :( Trying to describe it in print is hard to say the least! It sounds metalic and loud. It knocks once for every two rotations of the crankshaft. It sounds centered behind the cam follower cover. It doesn't change much with RPM. Doesn't get louder or quieter. Good oil pressure. Pulled the pan and checked all the bearings and they show very little wear although there is play in the tolerance to the crankshaft. Piston doesn't seem to bet out of tolerance for the cylinder. Checked the wrist pins and there is some play but all cylinders seem to be equal. I have only one knock. Sometimes when I rev it up one more knock will sound two or three times but then goes away. Next step is to remove the live hyd. pump and dist. to remove the follwer cover and look for ? ANY IDEAS?
