No fire from magneto

I have a 1944 Farmall "A" that all of a sudden would not start. I disconnected the push/pull switch from the magneto and still no start. I checked coming out of the magneto to the distributor with a spark tester and have no spark. Don't know anything about magneto's. Can anyone help get me pointed in the right direction? Thanks
