I just bought a 1948 Farmall C last Friday. It had a wide front end mounted on it when I picked it up. I discovered that the wide front end had been adapated to work on it.(who knows what it came off of, it was equipped with 6:00X16" tires) I contacted the lady that I bought it from and asked if she knew if her late husband had changed the front end on it. She called me yesterday and said that her son and husband had changed it from the tricycle to the wide front about 15 years ago. She said that the original parts were in the same shed as where the tractor was, at least that was what her son told her. I went to her place and found the tricycle front equipped with 5:00X15" tires today and she gave them to me. Now here is my question: The tricycle front has a little bit of an angle made into the post of it. Does this angle face the FRONT or REAR of the tractor when I remount it?. I don't wish to bother you guys with dumb questions, But I am not sure which method is correct. I do not want to mount it wrong and take the chance of breaking anything. Thank you for your advice once again.

At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches.
