GUTLESS lift-all!!

I put a 3 point hitch on my 41 H with a 4 x 8 cyl.I know my belly pump should be putting out 750lbs.or higher.I had a 6ft. boom on the other day and was doing the spring cleaning thing so I chained off on a old 2pt.sickle bar to pick it up but she would'nt........Just how much should I be able to pick up????
