I just aquired and put on a cornplanter fastened to my sidedresser. Never planted corn in my life but would like to know if I have to take this off now if I want to cultivate or layout rows in the mkt garden?etc. There seems to be a shank holder(?) fastened next to that support arm that would allow me to layout rows. I am confused how the rows are to be marked out etc when planting the corn seed. Maybe someone can suggest a publication for me to buy that shows me pictures how to use the tractor with this implement. Last year I could disengage the sidedresser when I didn't want to drop fertilizer, I think. I bought two implements this year the cub planter and a 2rowJD for ourJD, this looks like the one I will use as the JD is far too complicated for me.? I farm in a town where I am the only one doing it noone to talk to!
