I think I got lucky with my Super AV steering problem. It used to take about half a turn before the tires would turn. I saw on previous post that the steering yoke sometimes gets loose. Well, I was able to tighten it and got most of the slop out of the steering. This helped but, I still had the road crazy front end. I also remembered another post where you could put a large washer to hold the front bearing tighter against the worm gear. With the washer, the steering is almost perfect. Before I added the washer, the large pipe plug on the end was screwed all the way in until the treads stopped. But now with the washer, I am having trouble keeping the pipe plug tight. What can be used to hold the pipe plug tight...thread locktite? Pipe thread compound, pipe tape. Has anyone else had this problem. If I really crank on the pipe plug, you can not turn the steering wheel.
