By blowing, do you mean water in the oil, or blowing between two cylinders. I got a JD industrial at a steel price, becase the previous owner had water in the oil. He replacet the head gasket only to have the same problem, water again in the oil. He gave up. I got it home and did a little checking, and found one of the cylinder liners had a pin hole leaking through to the piston. So you never know. Stan

How about a little more detail on this. Does the headgasket always fail in the same general area? What model tractor to start with.

First you need to determine why the gasket is having problems. The head may be warped or cracked, same for the block. Are you using the right gasket? Is the tune corect (timing & fuel)?
Are you lugging it heavy? Lots to look at, good luck. Dave

You'll have to take your head into a machine shop and get the gasket mating surface "milled" or "planed" back to truly flat. The reason your gasket is blowing is there's a spot between the head and block that isn't as tight as the rest; a weak spot. When you put it back together, make sure you torque the bolts down the correct amount AND in the correct order. After you get the engine warm from running it, re-tighten the bolts. Oh, while you're at the machine shop, get the exhaust and intake gasket surfaces milled too. Heck, why not grind the valves too.
