Does anyone know which red is closest to Hesston red? (ie; Ford, Farmall, MH) I want to touch up some places where I've made repairs on a windrower, and TSC doesn't have Hesston red so I'd like to substitute a close shade of red until I can paint the whole thing. Spray bombs will work for now. the original red is pretty faded.

My Hesston dealer has the "Burnt Orange"(I believe that is what they call it) in spray cans and by the quart.

I'd think that red oxide primer would be pretty close. I don't know what the actual color is supposed to be.

Can you find any of the original paint under the hood?

I was wondering if you could take a part of the tractor and take it to graingers or somewhere that does paint color comparison. If you have a graingers book, or even go to graingers.com, you might be able to find their automotive colors that closely resemble it. (I know that they have caterpillar colors, international colors, deere colors, etc., but it's a possibility that someone might be able to find a close color.)
