Well, It looks like the dog days of summer for north west no. dak. are all over as we officially dropped to 21 this morning. Our first frost this year. O well,,,we always get what they call an indian summer and it is usually the most beautiful time of the year and the are forecasting a warm October.
And no, I didnt stick my tongue on the pump handle either,,,,, Not yet anyway.

Had a real good frost night before last. Thats ok though, I got a "down payment" check on the last of the hay. Will hold and load out in mid October. Ought to have a deer in the freezer next week (archery) and the fish have really picked up the bite. Good to be alive, no bugs or pests. Havent seen a pan handler in a couple weeks. All gone south. Had one set of tracks across the hay field, then the neighbors. By cutting across they save 4 miles to get access to public lands. Locked my gate that day. And they will wonder why?? One guy ask me what right I had to cut them off by closing my gate a couple years ago. Bob

I can smell fall in the air here in MD, but you northern guys seem to want to rush right into winter. I don't understand it. LOL

Sounds like we're supposed to get that tonight (WI), but I hope not. I'm not ready to chop corn yet- still waiting for the silo to be repaired!
