Well everyone should be happy now with the new modern YT forum. You can post on the old or the new one and the posts show up on both except on the new one new posts are moved to the top. Just click on the "modern view" button in the upper right hand corner to flip to the new forum.

OK, so you say I am registered, OK. My next question would be someone that has just found this site and they have to fill out a questioner to let the site decide if they want to let the newcommer on then a week or two later get back to them to give them the OK to get on.

Couple of years ago to a question of mine on this site I was refered to a different site, Lumber mill, and I had to go thru all that and then I didn't learn any more than I already new.

So what is that newcommer going to do if he has to go thru all that to read the site to decide if it is for him or not. He is going to decide without filling out that questioner that this site is not for him and move on never to return. What does YT say about that?

I like the modern view, especially keeping active topics on top. I have noticed though that my signature doesn't show up and I haven't been e mailed when someone replies to my post. And yes I have it selected in my profile.

I don't like the modern forum at all. It is too much like some of the other tractors sites and I usually don't use them because of there format. There is too much clutter and color. I'm with Old, the old forum is better.

I like the modern forum because it's a loi easier to tell what post you've read and if more replies have been made after you initially read the original post. Tx Jim

Don't see the "modern view" link but look forward to it, this forum is so hard to use compared to others, hence why I don't usually post here...

Backup to the page were you look at all the posts. Under the red bar that has tractor talk discussion board in it there is a row of grey buttons with blue lettering. The modern veiw is the right hand one.

I have to agree as well. Like the old. I also prefer accessing this site using www.antiquetractors.com. I just like it better than
www.ytmag.com

I think I will stick with one, I just tried to log in to the "new forum" and it told me I was not registered. I am an old dog and find it hard to learn new tricks

Oh, I am registered, have been since 1999, but I tried to log in and it said was not registered, but after trying 5-6 times it finally let me log in. But I like this one, so until Kim decides to quit using both, I will stay here on the old side, to me it is a lot more simple to figure out and use.

Leroy, take it easy. Just by having a registered handle you are already registered. You don't have to do it every time you want to post or read. I still prefer the old forum myself.

I don't know about this new site but other sites if you only want to read what has been posted they still need to know your life history to decide if they want to let you read the site. To post is a bit different than just read what has already been posted.
