Hi Gang;
This is a Bradford (Yorkshire) built B-250 which was one in IH's mosst popular & successfull tractors. Launched in 1956 and running through to early 1960's, many exported to USA & Canada.
4 cyl 35HP gross indirect injection diesel engine, live hydraulics with engine driven pump, diff lock, 540 non-live pto, 5F & 1R gearbox. Early versions had twin arm steering,this later model used improved single arm as fitted to the B-275.
Eagle eyed YT-ers will spot that I posted a rear view of this tractor a few days ago and mistakenly captioned it to be a B-275 (well they look the same from the back). The numbers & letters on the front are the licence plate for road use (plate stays with vehicle all its life).
Cheers David

 Low serial number B-250's in reply to David in Wales, 04-25-2007 02:43:28
Hi MJ;
An ex-IH dealer in Carmarthenshire has a 250 serial number less than 509, and an ex-IH dealer (self employed now)fitter in Cheshire has one under 509. I believe the lowest number is up in Lancashire.
Cheers David

Thanks for posting the B250, I have one identical but not so shiny. I have a loader and wheel weights in addition. It is a great tractor and economical to operate. I do plan on a restoration when I am done farming with it
